廖宏,1965年9月出生于四川,研究员,博士生导师。中国科学院大学岗位教授。中国科学院"百人计划"入选者,中国科学院战略性先导科技专项项目"我国气溶胶历史变化及气候效应"和科技部973项目"大气污染物的理化特征及其与气候系统相互作用"首席科学家。 2005年12月受聘于中国科学院大气物理研究所,从事大气化学、气溶胶、空气污染和气候变化等交叉领域的模式研究。
教育背景
1986年本科毕业于北京大学地球物理系气象专业,被推荐继续在 北京大学读研究生。
1989年获大气动力学专业硕士学位。
2001年8月在 美国加州理工学院(California Institute of Technology) 获得环境工程专业博士学位。
工作经历
2001年获得博士学位后继续在加州理工学院从事博士后工作,
2002年10月起担任加州理工学院Assistant Scientist。2003年起为 美国橡树岭国家实验室访问科学家。
2008年国家杰出青年基金获得者。
2009年入选新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选。
2011年百人计划终期评估优秀。
