人物名，著名人物为香港中文大学物理系讲座教授，男，博士，香港中文大学物理系讲座教授，理学院院长，许昌学院客座教授。 1976年本科毕业于香港中文大学化学系，1982 获University of British Columbia化学博士学位。1986-1993年任加拿大西安大略大学Surface Science Western高级研究员；1993-1995年任加拿大西安大略大学材料工程系副教授，1995-1997年任加拿大西安大略大学材料工程系教授；1997-2000年任香港中文大学材料科学系教授、系主任。另有江南大学社会科学处副处长。

曾主持完成过数十项国外及香港资助项目。其研究工作已发表SCI收录论文近200篇，其中有数十篇发表在影响因子为3以上的学术杂志上。
