水果姐新歌《Swish Swish》中，有其中一句歌词写道：“swish swish bish”，被某些网友解读成是在影射泰勒，疑似取自泰勒姓氏Swift的谐音，并骂对方是个“婊子（Bitch）”，因此引发了双方粉丝一阵论战。
泰勒的好友鲁比罗斯（ Ruby Rose ）也跳出力挺她，在推特上狠批凯蒂佩芮的新歌像狗屎，随后，曾为泰勒丝制作过《Bad Blood》、《Blank Space》等歌曲的音乐制作人乔瑟夫卡安（Joseph Kahn）也在推特上讽刺凯蒂·佩里，“你要是打算借歌讽刺别人的话，至少副歌也要写得好听一点！”发文充满火药味。
事实上，凯蒂·佩里在《吉米今夜秀》宣传新歌时，被主持人吉米·法伦（Jimmy Fallon）问及此歌曲是不是在影射某人，她停顿了一阵响应，“我觉得如果大家被欺负，或是被看不起时，这是一首非常好的圣歌。”对于该歌曲是否用来影射泰勒，她并没有承认，也没有否认，让粉丝摸不透。
